Stereotypes?

The stereotype that i think isn't entirely true about people who live in NY is that were all just desk workers and all we do is make money and spend it. NY is more than just cities with skyscrapers and factories with smoke stacks. There is a lot of outdoor stuff to do in NY like sports. NY has the appellation mountains/ catskills, the great lakes/ finger lakes but yes we do have NYC with skyscrapers and people who are stuck in an office all day and dont ever leave the city to do outdoor activities.

You know Evan, you are kinda true about how we think of NY. But this has also helped us to understand more about you guys. I do admit there are somethings that aren't exactly true but we believe it until we see it. But anyways. I do understand why you wrote it like this.

I think that it is great that you wrote about other things that happen in new york besides all the main things that you see on t.v. , When Mr.Blach asked what our first oppion on how your town looked,I told him that i automatically thought of sky scrappers and other buildings and houses with no yard for you to enjoy the out side. know that my school has a little better understanding about your town i think we can change many of the stereotypes that we had as you can change some of what you had twards us and our town.

I understand what you mean when other people just think that you are something else because you live in a certain area of the country. People always think that we are all hicks and not as smart as others because we live in Nebraska.

Many people think that all people in New York just sit at desks and have no life. I think the reason for that is when they think of New York they think tall skyscrapers. And there are a lot of people that work in each one. And now that I see pictures of Beacon I can tell that is not the case.
